Text acquires new novel from Michael Winkler

Text’s publisher Michael Heyward has acquired GRIEFDOGG, the astonishing new work from Winkler, author of the Miles Franklin shortlisted GRIMMISH. Winkler describes this novel as ‘A fractured fable about water, community, ancient geology, regional towns, the climate crisis, fluid identity and the compassion that might save us.’ Hewyard observes: ‘Michael Winkler is a kind of genius, and he demands intense focus from the reader, which this novel rewards.
