BookPeople, the Association of Australia’s Bookshops, is the peak industry body representing the interests of booksellers across Australia. The BookPeople Buying Group is a key buying and marketing service developed to assist BookPeople members achieve better trading terms with publishers and provide access to a range of print and digital marketing resources.
We are seeking to add a part-time team member. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing group offer distribution and uploads to the Buying Group online ordering portal;
- Print and digital marketing assistance;
- Managing BookPeople social media channels;
- Customer service; and
- Work on BookPeople member services and events.
We are looking for an industry professional with a keen eye for detail, customer focused, proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good copywriting and editing skills, plus experience in running social media campaigns are a definite advantage.
Most of all, we are looking for a team player with a passion for books and bookselling, ready to extend help where help is needed.
To begin with, this is an 18 hour per week, part-time position, over a minimum of three days a week, with the potential to grow to more hours.
