Product Manager (Part-time), Sydney

Allen & Unwin, Australia’s largest independent book publisher, is looking for a motivated, proactive and experienced Product Manager to join our International Agencies team for a 12-month maternity leave cover. Reporting to the International Agencies Director, and working on our extensive illustrated agency lists, the role will be responsible for managing relationships with some of our biggest international publishing partners, managing inventory, and liaising with A&U’s Sales and Marketing teams.

The successful candidate will ideally possess the following skills and experience:

• Confident communicator
• Well-organised, reliable and motivated
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Commercial savvy
• Technical literacy (proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint, Adobe Acrobat, inventory management systems)
• Book publishing experience – preferably in product management or sales – and knowledge of the ANZ bookselling and publishing landscape

This is a fantastic part-time role in a dynamic and creative environment which would suit someone with experience in the publishing and/or bookselling industry.
