Hachette acquires Chloe Fisher memoir
Hachette Australia has acquired Always You, a memoir from Chloe Fisher with Alley Pascoe.
Always You follows Fisher’s life story as she meets and marries pro-surfer Paul Fisher, said the publisher. ‘As Paul’s success as DJ Fisher exploded, life looked golden. However, behind the scenes, Chloe carried a quiet ache: all she ever wanted was to be a mum. But her journey to motherhood was anything but smooth – it was a rollercoaster of juggling life on tour with fertility struggles and heartbreak.’
Fisher is the creator of the Darling, Shine! podcast with Ellidy Pullin. Fisher is also on the board of the Pink Elephants Support Network and created the Australian seltzer brand Hard Fizz.
Discussing her memoir, Fisher said: ‘I wrote Always You to be a lifeline – for anyone in the thick of fertility struggles, grief or heartbreak. It’s raw, it’s real, and it’s filled with everything I wish someone had told me. If you or someone you love is walking a hard road, this book might just change everything.’
Hachette Australia head of literary and nonfiction Vanessa Radnidge said: ‘So often, when going through a hard time, it is reading or listening to the stories of others who have dealt with similar experiences that can provide solace. Chloe Fisher is sharing her story of infertility, loss and motherhood for that very reason. So others don’t feel as lost as she did. Chloe’s emotionally powerful story of infertility, grief and motherhood is unforgettable. It is a love story and also a potent reminder that it is love, friends and family that help us navigate the highs and lows that life brings us all.’
Hachette is set to release Always You on 28 October 2025.
