Reporting to the Publisher Hardie Grant Explore, the Commissioning Editor will identify, commission and develop standout titles that inspire readers to explore their world, including bestselling travel guides, natural history books, First Nations stories and beautifully designed illustrated books.

About you:

You are a creative and detail-oriented Senior Book Editor or Commissioning Editor with over 5 years’ experience in the book industry, including at least 2 years’ within travel and/or lifestyle publishing. With demonstrated strengths in ensuring high-level author care (working with both established names and first-time authors), outstanding editorial standards and superior planning and organisational skills, you excel and sourcing and delivering market-leading books.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity to join a driven and passionate publishing team. Based in our new, state-of-the-art head office in Collingwood, the salary range for this position is $80,000 – $85,000 per annum + 12% super.
