Mudgee Readers’ Festival announces 2025 program

Mudgee Readers’ Festival (MRF) has announced its full 2025 program, set to run 15–17 August.

Over 25 writers will appear over three days, including Chris Hammer, Victoria Purnam, Sara M Saleh, Ashley Kalagian Blunt and Julie Janson.

The festival will open with a poetry slam and close with a ‘Lazy Long Lunch’ with Chris Hammer.

Among other sessions are panels on reading and writing romance, permaculture, and poetic activism, as well as a ‘Together Out West’ dinner and entertainment event in partnership with WestWords.

MRF general manager Rhys Gard said, ‘Literary festivals are safe spaces for writers and readers to connect – to share stories and ideas – and regional events like ours offer a uniquely intimate atmosphere. Just because we’re small in size doesn’t mean we’re afraid to take on big ideas.’

More information, including the full program, is available on the MRF website.
