Stella Day Out to host evening in Darwin
Literary organisation Stella has announced an inaugural Darwin Stella Day Out event, set to take place on 13 August in partnership with the Darwin Festival.
At the evening event, author Mirandi Riwoe – who was shortlisted for the Stella Prize in 2021 for her book Stone Sky Gold Mountain (UQP) – will appear in conversation with ABC radio presenter Jess Ong.
Stella Day Out is a free one-day literary festival that ‘celebrates and promotes the outstanding contributions of women and non-binary writers to Australian literature’. The joint event with the Darwin Festival maintains this no-cost model.
The organisation has also recently run events in Warrnambool and Adelaide, while August events are also planned for Sydney and Canberra. Programs are released individually.
More information about the upcoming Darwin event is available on the Stella website.
