Red Room Poetry announces 2025 youth ambassadors
Red Room Poetry has announced the 2025 participants in its Red Room Poetry Youth Ambassadors program.
The 2025 ambassadors are:
- Rataj Abdullah (regional NSW)
- Charlee Brooks (Vic)
- Maggie Knight-Williams (ACT)
- Jek Oladipo – aka Zafty (WA/Vic).
Red Room Poetry creative producer Izzy Roberts-Orr said, ‘Every movement needs fresh voices – and these are some of the strongest, sharpest, and most exciting emerging poets we know.’
The organisation’s ambassador program seeks to build ‘national pathways and recognition for young poetic voices’.
As well as participating in Poetry Month through showcases, commissioned works and creative consultation, the ambassadors will also advise Red Room on its Youth Poet Laureate Program for Australia.
