Stella Day Out to host Byron Bay event

Literary organisation Stella has announced two Byron Bay sessions, running 17 October at the Byron Community Centre.

Michelle de Krester, the 2025 Stella Prize winner, will discuss Theory & Practice (Text) with Annie O’Rourke.

Fiona Wright and Josephine Rowe will speak on their work, with Byron Bay Writers Festival director Jessica Alice moderating.

Stella Day Out is a free one-day literary festival that ‘celebrates and promotes the outstanding contributions of women and non-binary writers to Australian literature’.

The organisation has also run events in Warrnambool, Adelaide, Sydney, Darwin and Canberra, with Hobart to come in September. Programs are released individually.

More information about the upcoming Byron Bay events is available on the Stella website.
