HarperCollins acquires de Sousa cookbooks
HarperCollins Australia has acquired world rights to two cookbooks by Steph de Sousa.
The deal was brokered by HarperCollins fiction and nonfiction publisher Roberta Ivers and TalentINK Group’s Brooke Taylor and Justine May.
No Stress Recipe Queen, the first of the two titles, is described by the publisher as ‘a collection of delicious, easy recipes which take all the stress and drama out of putting dinner on the table, every night of the week’.
A contestant on the 2019 MasterChef Australia, de Sousa is now a social media influencer and cookbook author. She posts about food and cooking as part of her ‘mission to spread the joy of home cooking to everyone by inspiring others to get back in the kitchen and cook up a storm using simple ingredients and fresh local produce’. Her previous titles include Easy Dinner Queen and Air Fryer Queen, both published by entertainment company Are Media.
She said of the deal, ‘These new books are packed with the food I love to cook and share, and I can’t wait for you to bring them into your kitchens, make a mess, and create memories around the table.’
Ivers said of the first title, ‘Speedy dinners in 30 minutes, set-and-forget meals and clever double-duty dinners to easy weekend showstoppers and sweet and simple desserts – it’s all so easy with Steph and it’s all delicious. This is dinner without the drama so it’s perfect for busy families and people on the go.’
HarperCollins plans to publish No Stress Recipe Queen in April 2026, followed by the second title in 2027.
