Hachette to host panel on LGBTQ+ support and allyship in the workplace
Hachette Australia has announced an OutWOMAN+ panel discussion in collaboration with Out Leadership, a global platform aiming to promote LGBTQ+ equality.
The panel, which will take place 21 October between 9 and 11am, will focus on allyship, mentorship, and collective leadership and is open to all publishing professionals.
Moderated by Jones Jones (Rainbow Giving Australia), speakers include actor and author Zoe Terakes (Eros, Hachette), bookseller Letitia Davy (Gleebooks Dulwich Hill), and Hachette CEO Louise Stark.
Said Stark, “‘True progress happens when we uplift one another. This conversation is about building a culture where everyone, especially women and queer professionals, feels empowered to lead authentically and thrive fully.”
Out Leadership began in 2010 to “leverage economic power to drive both societal change and bottom line impact”. The initiative OutWOMAN+ aims to “to connect out women in business to one another, call attention to their accomplishments, and leverage their strength to speed progress for all women in the workplace”.
