HarperCollins acquires Crowe’s nonfiction work
HarperCollins has acquired Australian rights to Where the Light Gets In, a nonfiction book by Ben Crowe.
Where the Light Gets In, a book about personal growth, “explains how 9 simple yet profound perspective shifts can help us bring more joy, play and purpose into our lives, build confidence and belief in ourselves, remove pressure and redefine what it means to live a successful life,” said the publisher.
Crowe is a mindset coach who has worked with sports figures such as Ash Barty, Dylan Alcott, Andre Agassi and Stephanie Gilmore, as well as the Richmond Football Club and the Australian cricket team. He began his career in international sports marketing in 1990 with Nike. In 2020, Crowe launched Mojo Crowe “to help more people focus on the human being before the human doing”.
Crowe said, “Maybe the saddest 10 words I’ve heard over the years are, ‘I wish I had known this when I was younger.’ We’ve all looked back wishing we’d known then what we know now. But maybe the light only gets in when it’s meant to. This book is a reminder that it’s never too late to see differently, and that one shift in perspective can change everything.”
Publisher Catherine Milne said, “[Crowe] has a simple but incredibly powerful message about the significance of mindset, the importance of vulnerability and the power of storytelling to change behaviour, outlook and, ultimately, performance.”
Where the Light Gets In is slated for release in January 2026.
