Woollahra Digital Literary Award 2025 winners announced

The winners of the 2025 Woollahra Digital Literary Awards have been announced.

The winning works in each category are:

Fiction ($2500)

  • Nadia Mahjouri for The Miracle (published in Island Magazine)

Nonfiction ($2500)

Poetry ($1000)

  • David Stavanger for Planet Fitness (published in the Regional Review)

Readers’ choice ($250)

Digital innovation ($1500)

This year, the winner of the inaugural Woollahra Libraries Writer in Residence was announced as Oormila Vijayakrishnan Prahlad whose “residency project is a poetry collection that responds to Woollahra’s coastal landscapes and the echoes of elsewhere from her own lived experience,” said organisers.

The awards aim to support “innovation in Australian literature and publishing, encouraging writers producing work in a digital medium”, said organisers.

Judges this year included Amy Lovat (fiction), Ashley Kalagian Blunt (nonfiction), Ali Whitelock (poetry) and Brett Osmond (digital innovation).
