MidnightSun Publishing launches picture book prize

MidnightSun Publishing has announced the MidnightSun Picture Book Prize, a new manuscript prize for emerging or established picture book writers across Australia.

Entries are open until 25 December, with the shortlist announcement due in February 2026 and the winner announced in March 2026. The winner will be offered a publishing contract with MidnightSun.

MidnightSun Publishing director Anna Solding said, “I have long been considering ways to highlight the incredible talent that I see all around me as I assess manuscripts and talk to authors. We cannot wait to read your submissions and welcome another writer to the MidnightSun family.”
