Wiley acquires Judd’s debut

Wiley has acquired world rights to Caitlin Judd’s nonfiction title Good Girl, Goodbye: Rewrite Your Story, Reclaim Your Power, Build a Life You Love.

According to the publisher, Good Girl, Goodbye deals with how “too many women are chasing gold stars in systems that reward silence over self-respect and burnout over boundaries”. The book advises readers to dismantle these patterns and suggests a framework to “rebuild a life grounded in self-acceptance through cultural commentary, personal reflection, and practical tools”.

Judd is a writer, coach and brand strategist. Based in Sydney, she aims to help “women define their own version of success and live in alignment with their values, strengths and honours who they are becoming”.

Discussing her work, Judd said, “My book explores the history and deep personal costs of being a Good Girl, such as burnout, anxiety and dissatisfaction, not as personal shortcomings, but as predictable responses to systems that reward women for endurance and self-abandonment.

“It’s for the women who’ve internalised the scripts passed down to her by her family, school, religion, work and culture. The scripts that tell her to stay small, to be quiet, to swallow her anger, and to prioritise everyone else’s needs.”

Commission editor Jordon Lott said, “Caitlin’s mission is clear with this book: it’s an invitation, a permission slip to let go of the narratives that hold us back. Our hope is that Good Girl, Goodbye opens up conversations – around International Women’s Day when it publishes, but also for a long time after – that will empower women to rewrite their story.”

Wiley plans to publish Good Girl, Goodbye on 6 March 2026.
