Receptionist / Administrative Assistant
Allen & Unwin, 15-time Publisher of the Year and Australia’s leading independent publisher, is seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and detail-oriented Receptionist / Administrative Assistant for our Melbourne office.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, enjoys working in a creative environment, has excellent communication skills, and can confidently manage a variety of administrative tasks. Ideally, you will also love books as much as we do!
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming visitors and handling incoming calls in a professional manner
- Managing emails, correspondence, and general enquiries
- Scheduling meetings and maintaining office calendars
- Providing general administrative and IT support to the Melbourne Office team
- Coordinating book orders with warehouse staff and other key stakeholders
- Assisting with document preparation, filing, and data entry
- Ordering office supplies and supporting day-to-day office operations
- Organising office events
Key Skills:
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
- Digital fluency
- Professional and reliable, with an attention to detail
