Production assistant, Melbourne

We’re one of Australia’s key independent publishers, and we’re looking for an experienced Production Assistant to help with the production of Scribe’s catalogues, proofs, new titles, and reprints. We also encourage entry-level design applicants with production experience to consider this position.

The successful candidate will have:

• ideally, 1-2 years’ experience working in a similar role within trade publishing;
• the capacity to handle production tasks such as costing, scheduling, and print-file preparation; and
• basic editorial and design skills, although more advanced InDesign layout skills will be greatly valued.
