“Tori Woods” found guilty

Author Lauren Ashley Mastrosa, who writes under the pen name Tori Woods, has been found guilty of possessing, disseminating and producing child abuse material, reported the Guardian

Mastrosa was charged over a self-published novel that “sexually objectifies children”, according to magistrate Bree Chisholm. The novel sparked outrage online when digital advance reader copies were shared.

The Guardian reported that a Crime Stoppers complaint led to police executing a search warrant for Mastrosa’s home.

Mastrosa, who could face time in prison, is set to be sentenced on 28 April.
