Ena Noël Award 2026 winners announced
The Australian branch of the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) has announced the winners of the 2026 Ena Noël Award.
The winners of the award are author Raelke Grimmer for White Noise (UWA Publishing) and illustrator Sami Bayly for The Illustrated Encyclopaedia of Extinct Animals (Lothian).
Established in 1994, the biennial Ena Noël Award is awarded to Australian emerging writers and illustrators under the age of 35 who have had books published in the two years prior to the award closing date. Since 2024, two awards have been presented, one to an author and one to an illustrator.
The previous Ena Noël Award was presented to Meg Gatland-Veness and Holden Sheppard.
