Walsh dominates first UK BookTok bestseller list

In the UK, TikTok has released its first monthly BookTok bestseller list for the market, in collaboration with market research company Media Control.

“On behalf of NielsenIQ BookData, Media Control will combine two key ‘success’ factors of the modern book market into one single official ranking: verified retail sales data collected by NielsenIQ BookData and the engagement from the #BookTok community,” reported the Bookseller.

The list features the books that are “the most successful titles within the #BookTok community each month”, and was first launched in Germany in 2023 before expanding to Austria and Switzerland in 2024.

The top 10 titles on the first UK BookTok bestseller list for March are:

1. Heated Rivalry (Rachel Reid, Emblaze)
2. Taming 7 (Chloe Walsh, Piatkus)
3. House of Earth and Blood (Sarah J Maas, Bloomsbury)
4. Keeping 13 (Chloe Walsh, Piatkus)
5. Saving 6 (Chloe Walsh, Piatkus)
6. Verity (Colleen Hoover, Sphere)
7. Releasing 10 (Chloe Walsh, Piatkus)
8. Onyx Storm (Rebecca Yarros, Piatkus)
9. Redeeming 6 (Chloe Walsh, Piatkus)
10. Alchemised (SenLinYu, Michael Joseph).
