Murdoch Books is a multiple award-winning publisher of illustrated and narrative nonfiction and a division of independent publisher Allen & Unwin, with offices in Sydney, Melbourne and London. We are offering a rare opportunity for a Publisher to join our Australian publishing team, based either in Sydney or Melbourne.

The successful candidate will identify and publish market-leading books across a broad range of lifestyle categories, including food, gardening, health, personal development, gift and memoir. You will be a natural at author and agent liaison as well as enjoy working closely with our in-house editorial, design and production departments to create best-in-class books. Reporting to our Publishing Director, you will champion existing as well as new authors, selling their books within the business and to the wider industry.

You will be a student of the Australian book market, possess outstanding communication and organisational skills, have a hunger for commercial success, and a good understanding of the publishing processes of both illustrated and non-illustrated books.
