Roderick Centre Online Fellowship 2026 recipients announced
Varuna, The National Writers’ House has announced the recipients of the 2026 Roderick Centre Online Fellowship for Regional and Remote Writers.
The fellowship recipients are:
- Barry Morley
- Katy Rogers
- Liz Macnamara
- Miriam Zolin
- Phoebe Morgan-Hunn
- Ryanna Clayton.
Six writers were highly commended: Bronwyn Birdsall, Dani Netherclift, Elizabeth Walton, Michelle Davidson, Susan Coleridge, and Sylvia Wilczynski.
Running from 24 August to 4 September 2026, the program is an online fellowship offering two one-hour online sessions with Varuna writing consultant Mary Anne Butler and two online Q&A sessions with authors Jock Serong and Inga Simpson. Writers will “share their work, learn from experienced authors with a connection to regional Australia, and benefit from mentorship and peer feedback”.
First announced in 2024, the fellowships are supported by the Roderick Centre for Australian Literature and Creative Writing at the James Cook University.
