“Nobody’s Girl” among Fingerprint Awards shortlistees
In the UK, the posthumous memoir Nobody’s Girl (Doubleday) by the late Australia-based author Virginia Roberts Giuffre, co-written with Amy Wallace, has been shortlisted in the Fingerprint Awards.
Nobody’s Girl has been shortlisted in the True Crime Book of the Year category. The awards also include “book of the year” categories for audiobook, debut, genre-busting, historical crime, and thriller titles, along with an award for Overall Crime Book of the Year. All selected books were first published in English in 2025.
Award organisers said, “This year our longlist was carefully curated by our Tastemakers Committee – a panel of 15 leading independent bloggers and reviewers – who championed their standout titles across each category.” From the longlist, Fingerprint Awards board members chose a shortlist of 5 titles in each category.
Readers are invited to cast a vote to help decide this year’s winners, with voting open until 30 May.
The winners will be announced on 18 June 2026, as part of the Capital Crime festival in London.
