Allen & Unwin acquires Ariarne Titmus memoir

Allen & Unwin (A&U) has acquired ANZ rights to Relentless: Family, Self-belief and the Will to Win, a memoir by Australian swimmer Ariarne Titmus, from David Malina at IMG Talent.

Relentless charts Titmus’s life and career, from her family’s move to Queensland to support her Olympic dream to the significant challenges she has overcome, including recovering from a shoulder injury only months out from the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. In the memoir, the world record-holder and 4-time Olympic gold medallist “opens up for the first time about the medical issues that have impacted her fertility, and her decision to walk away from the sport at just 25 while still on top of the world because of her belief that family triumphs all”, said the publisher.

Titmus said, “Throughout my career, I embraced the pressure and found joy in the relentless pursuit for greatness. My success was built on an extraordinary mindset, a love of the work and the unwavering support of my family. I am not defined by the pool. By sharing my story, I hope to inspire more people to believe in themselves, chase their dreams and cherish the greatest gift of all, family.”

Publisher Sally Heath said, “Overcoming challenges and pressure to be the best when it counts on the big stage, time and time again, is what has placed Ariarne in a league of her own, making her an inspiration to many. In Relentless, Ariarne generously takes us inside her dreams, into the pool and out the other side to encourage us to go after whatever we are chasing.”

A&U plans to publish Relentless in November 2026.
