Nam Le, Hazel Phillips receive Varuna International Exchange fellowships

Varuna has announced the recipients for its International Exchange – New Zealand fellowship, offered in partnership with the Michael King Writers Centre and WORD Christchurch Festival with funding from Creative Australia.
The Australian recipient is Nam Le and the Aotearoa New Zealand fellowship recipient is Hazel Phillips. Highly commended Australian writers who were shortlisted for the exchange were Kris Kneen, Hayley Scrivenor and Nadia Mahjouri.
Phillips will visit Varuna and the Blue Mountains Writers’ Festival later in October and Le will visit Aotearoa in September.
