Allen & Unwin acquires Lamble brothers’ “One More Step”
Allen & Unwin has acquired ANZ rights to One More Step: The Art of Never Giving Up by Lachlan and Stefan Lamble, known collectively as the “Lambros”, from Chris Giannopoulos at Bravo Talent Management.
The memoir tells the story of the Melbourne brothers’ endurance challenges, beginning with their decision to run 3400 kilometres across Australia for cancer research despite having no running background. After losing their grandmother to cancer, the brothers completed the 85-day journey, becoming the first brothers to run across Australia and raising $250,000 for cancer research. The book also recounts the physical and personal challenges that followed, including serious injuries, hormonal depletion and a near-fatal car crash, before the pair undertook a 1000-mile run across the United Kingdom.
The Lamble brothers have raised more than $375,000 for cancer research through their endurance events and built a large online following documenting their challenges.
The authors said they wrote One More Step to tell “the full story” behind their public achievements.
“We wanted to share not just what we achieved, but what we learned through the difficult moments and the times things didn’t go to plan,” they said. “More than anything, we hope people finish this book feeling more confident in their ability to face adversity in their own lives.”
Publisher Emma Nolan said the book’s appeal extended beyond sport.
“While Stefan and Lachlan’s extraordinary endurance challenges will resonate with runners and sports enthusiasts, the power of this book lies in its universal message,” she said. “At a time when many people are facing uncertainty, setbacks and personal challenges, One More Step is a timely reminder that resilience is often as simple as putting one foot in front of the other.”
Allen & Unwin will publish One More Step in November 2026.
