The 2026 Roly Sussex Short Story Competition is now open. Submissions close 18 September. This Australia-wide annual competition is run by the English-Speaking Union (Queensland Branch). Open Division winner receives prize money of $7500. Secondary School Division winner receives $1000. For further information and Submission Guidelines go to the ESU website.
