Readings is an independent retailer of books, music and film, and has long been at the centre of Melbourne’s local literary scene. Readings was awarded Book Retailer of the Year at the 2021 Australian Book Industry Awards.

We are seeking to appoint a part-time weekend duty manager at our Malvern shop. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic bookseller and experienced supervisor.

Reporting to the shop manager, and in addition to general shop duties, the key responsibilities of this role are:

• Staff management including training and development, delegation of duties & roster changes
• Day-to-day essential shop operations such as opening/closing
• Ensuring the security of the shop
• Cash management.
