RiP Jean Baudrillard

French philosopher and postmodern theorist Jean Baudrillard has died at the age of 77. A fierce critic of modern consumer culture, Baudrillard published more than 30 books expounding his theories on ‘hyperreality' and ‘simulation'--theories which ironically provided inspiration for the movie The Matrix.
