John Power, author of the groundbreaking Australian Rules book The Coach (Geoff Slattery Publishing), has died in London at the age of 72. The fly-on-the-wall account of the North Melbourne football club and its then coach Ron Barassi was published in 1977 to great acclaim and re-released in 2005.
