Aussie authors named in USBBY list of outstanding international books

A number of books by Australian authors have been selected for the 2013 United States Board of Books for Young People (USBBY) list of Outstanding International Books for children and young adults.

The titles by Australian authors included in the list are:

  • A Bus Called Heaven (Bob Graham, Walker Books)
  • Isabella’s Garden (Glenda Millard, Walker Books)
  • The Hero of Little Street (Gregory Rogers, A&U)
  • Sadie and Ratz (Sonya Hartnett, Puffin)
  • Now (Morris Gleitzman, Viking).

 

The USBBY list of Outstanding International Books for children and young adults is published each February. The list is compiled by the USBBY Outstanding International Books committee from international books published in the US during the previous calendar year.
