White Paper offers recommendations for improved library e-content
An international E-Data Quality Working Group consisting of library professionals, content providers and OCLC has published a white paper on library e-content. The report, titled ‘Success Strategies for Electronic Content Discovery and Access’, identifies data quality issues in the supply chain and focuses on the need for libraries to incorporate qulaity bibliographic metadata and holdings data into their systems. The report also offers solutions for the exchange of data among libraries, data suppliers and service providers. The E-Data Quality Working Group has scheduled several events to discuss the report.
