Saunders wins 2014 Dromkeen Librarian’s Award

Melbourne University head of library Pam Saunders has won the 2014 Dromkeen Librarian’s Award.

The award is given to a school, children’s librarian or teacher for ‘their dedication to improving the literacy of young people’. It was presented at the State Library of Victoria (SLV) on 12 October, along with the 2014 Dromkeen Medal.

Saunders has previously worked as a librarian in schools and public libraries, as well as managing the Centre for Youth Literature at the SLV.
