Yarra Plenty Library launches YRead summer reading program

Yarra Plenty Regional Library in Melbourne has launched a youth summer reading program.
The YRead program, which runs from 1 December to 1 February, encourages 13- to 18-year-olds to visit their local library during the school holidays by running events such as a ‘zentagle class, space apps on devices, a stand-up comedy workshop and blackout poetry under the theme Reading Under the Stars’.
The library is also holding a ‘three item’ reading competition to win a tablet or headphones, and a six-word microfiction-writing competition to win a camera.
The library also runs a Summer Reading Club for children aged three to 12.
