World’s largest atlas on display at SLNSW

Earth Platinum, the world’s largest atlas, published by Australian publisher Millennium House in 2012, is on display at the State Library of NSW (SLNSW), reports ABC News.

The atlas weighs 150 kilos and measures 1.8 by 2.7 metres. One of only 31 copies in the world, the atlas is part of the library’s permanent collection and will be on display for a month.

The library’s maps expert Maggie Patton described the book as ‘a remarkable example of a unique milestone in the history of cartographic publishing’.
