SLV to be Melbourne Music Week hub

The State Library of Victoria (SLV) will host a number of music events in November as part of the 2016 Melbourne Music Week (MMW).

Melbourne lord mayor Robert Doyle said the SLV is ‘a perfect backdrop for this year’s MMW Hub’. ‘It will provide a unique experience inside one of the city’s most recognisable buildings and reinvent the space from its traditional use into a vibrant live music venue.’

Events will be held in the SLV’s Queen’s Hall reading room, which has been closed to the public since 2003.

The full MMW program is released on 4 October.
