Brisbane council opens new mobile library
Brisbane city council unveiled its new mobile library at King George Square on 20 September.
Staffed and driven by librarians, the custom-built vehicle ‘transforms into a multi-dimensional library’ with a covered deck, extension pod, lift for wheelchairs and prams, solar panels, computers and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
The new vehicle replaces the old mobile library, which has been running since 2004. The library visits a roster of eight locations every fortnight. For more information, click here.
