Melbourne’s City of Casey to open new library as part of $125m development
Melbourne’s City of Casey will open the new Narre Warren Library at the $125m Bunjil Place development on 28 October.
The two-level library will feature a dedicated children’s library, study nooks, a reading ampitheatre and a digital games area, as well as an ‘extensive’ collection of books, reference material and audio-visual equipment.
As well as a library, the development also includes a plaza for outdoor events, an 800-seat theatre, studio space and a gallery. The City of Casey contributed $115m to the development, with the federal government kicking in $10m.
