Bonnier Publishing Australia congratulates authors in Readings’ ‘Best of 2017’

Bonnier Publishing Australia’s children’s imprint, Five Mile, is proud to have its first ever junior fiction series included in Readings’ Top 10 Junior Fiction Books of the year. Congratulations to Jo Stanley for her trailblazing ‘Play Like A Girl’ series and to Fiona Harris and Scott Edgar for their format-smashing, genre-bending ‘Super Moopers’ series with Sally Rippin. More titles are publishing throughout 2018 in both series.

‘We’re thrilled that the discerning folks at Readings chose our first two junior fiction series among their top books of the year,’ said Niki Horin, publishing director of Five Mile. ‘It’s fantastic for our amazing creators and team to have their efforts recognised by booksellers, and it puts an extra spring in our step as we put the final touches on our exciting 2018 fiction offer.’

And over on the adult imprint, Echo would also like to congratulate Iain Ryan’s debut crime fiction title The Student and Emma Viskic’s highly anticipated second book And Fire Came Down, both making Readings’ Top 10 Crime Fiction Books of the year. ‘These books are gripping, layered, and each with a great sense of place and such memorable characters. We’re so excited to be working with the supremely talented Emma Viskic and Iain Ryan,’ said Angela Meyer, commissioning editor of Echo.
