NSW Writers’ Centre rebrands as Writing NSW

The NSW Writers’ Centre has rebranded as Writing NSW, and launched a new website.

Writing NSW CEO Jane McCredie  said the new name, which came into effect on 29 May, ‘reflects a broader scope for the organisation, including our growing digital presence and the wide range of programs we offer to support the writing community.’

‘Our services have evolved along with changes to the writing and publishing industries since we began 27 years ago, but our core focus will always be on supporting writers and writing culture,’ said McCredie.

The organisation has also launched a new website, and will host an online competition in the following six weeks to celebrate NSW towns and encourage more writers in regional towns to be involved with the organisation. For more information click here.

The rebranding follows the SA Writers Centre change to Writers SA, the Victorian Writers’ Centre change to Writers Victoria, and the change of the WA State Literature Centre to writingWA.
