Guidelines for $75m RISE and $35m Arts Sustainability funds released

The federal government has released guidelines for the $75 million Restart Investment to Sustain and Expand (RISE) Fund and $35 million Arts Sustainability Fund announced in June in response to Covid-19.

Minister for the Arts Paul Fletcher said the RISE fund will provide grants of between $75,000 and $2 million ‘to help restart activities such as festivals, concerts, tours and events once it is safe to do so’. The guidelines can be found here.

The government has also released guidelines for the Arts Sustainability Fund, which will provide direct financial assistance to Commonwealth-funded arts and culture organisations facing threats to their viability due to Covid-19.

Applications for both funds open 31 August and will remain open until all funds are allocated or until 31 May 2021, whichever is sooner.
