EWF announces At Home Residencies

The Emerging Writers’ Festival (EWF) has launched a new remote residency program, the EWF At Home Residencies.

Four successful applicants will each receive $1600 to commit to spending two weeks working on developing their writing at home. The opportunity is open to Australian writers of all genres and styles who have not had a full length work published by a commercial publishing house.

The four writers will also receive a feature profile on the EWF website, an opportunity for a meeting with the EWF artistic director to discuss their work, and opportunities for integration into EWF programming.

EWF is prioritising First Nations writers, writers with a disability, writers of colour and culturally and linguistically diverse writers, with one residency to be specifically reserved for a First Nations writer.

The residencies will operate for a duration of two weeks from Monday, 5 October to Friday, 18 December 2020. Expressions of interest are now open and close Monday, 20 September. For more information, see the EWF website.
