NYWF 2020 program launched

The full program for the National Young Writers’ Festival (NYWF), which runs online from 1-4 October, has been announced.

The program includes panels, debates, readings, forums, workshops and other events, under the theme ‘The raucous twenties’. Topics include the writing business, how to run a magazine, short story writing, how to secure a book deal, games writing, theatre, poetry, the fundamentals of sketch comedy, editing and ethical critique in the internet age.

This year’s guests include agent Grace Heifetz, publisher Robert Watkins and authors Alison Evans, Alison Whittaker, Nevo Zizin and Will Kostakis, among many others.

The festival, which is usually presented as part of Newcastle’s This is Not Art (TiNA), is this year being presented as a solo festival as TiNA takes a break.
