Tallinn bookshop wins LBF Bookstore of the Year 2022

The London Book Fair (LBF) has announced the winners of its annual International Excellence Awards.

The winners in each category, chosen from shortlists announced earlier this month, are:

Bookstore of the year

  • Rahva Raamat Viru Store (Estonia)

Library of the year

  • ‘Fran Galovic’ Koprivnica Public Library (Croatia)

Audiobook publisher of the year

  • Saga Egmont (Denmark)
  • Special commendation: Macmillan Audio (USA)

Children’s and young adult publisher of the year

  • Tulika Publishers (India)

Literary translation initiative award

  • Institut Ramon Llull (Spain)

Educational innovation award

  • Editions Animées (France)

Rights professional award

  • Anna Soler-Pont, Pontas Agency (Spain)

Inclusivity in Publishing Award (eligible for entries from the UK only)

  • Bloomsbury.

As previously reported by Books+Publishing, Brisbane bookshop Avid Reader was shortlisted for bookstore of the year in 2021, while Auckland’s Unity Books took home the award in 2020.

The winners of the 2022 International Excellence Awards who are attending this year’s LBF will receive their awards at the fair, which runs 5–7 April.
