‘Tiddas’ stage adaptation to play as part of Brisbane Festival 2022
Anita Heiss’s 2014 novel Tiddas (S&S) has been adapted for stage in a joint production with La Boite Theatre, Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) and Brisbane Festival.
Tiddas, which will play at La Boite Theatre from 5–24 September 2022, follows five women best friends who meet once a month ‘to talk about books, life, love and the jagged bits in between’.
Heiss has adapted the manuscript for stage, with Nadine McDonald-Dowd as director. The cast features Chenoa Deemal, Anna McMahon, Louise Brehmer, Phoebe Grainer, Shakira Clanton, Roxanne McDonald and Sean Dow.
The novel was previously optioned for television in 2014 by Pursekey Productions.
