Stella Day Out announces Warrnambool program
Stella Day Out has announced its next iteration will be in Warrnambool, and released the date and full program.
The free, one-day festival will take place on 28 June, from 11am–4pm, at the Lighthouse Theatre, and feature authors in conversation with local moderators.
Sessions include Eloise Grills and Thuy On exploring poetry, Katherine Brabon speaking on pain, and Alice Robinson and Kate Mildenhall discussing motherhood and dystopian futures.
The Stella Prize was founded in 2012 to ‘promote books by Australian women and non-binary writers in all their diversity, support greater participation in the world of literature, and create a more equitable and vibrant national culture’. Stella announced the initiative Stella Day Out in 2023, to continue ‘fostering a literary culture that is inclusive, diverse, and open to all’.
Stella Day Out will also travel to Adelaide, Canberra, and Darwin. Programs will be announced as they are released. More information and tickets are available via the Stella website.
