History Unbound festival launches program
The Historical Novel Society Australasia have announced the full program for the History Unbound festival, which will take place from 1 to 2 November in Parramatta.
The event marks a rebrand for the organisation’s biennial conference in celebration of its 10th anniversary.
The festival will open with a welcome session featuring Elisabeth Storrs and Kate Forsyth and conclude with a festival wrap-up, also with Storrs. In-conversation events over the course of the two days include Kelly Gardiner in conversation with Anita Heiss, Linda Funnell in conversation with Emily Maguire and Toni Jordan, and Brenda Lyons Lee in conversation with Fiona McIntosh. Panel topics will cover identity and diaspora, First Nations voices, and AI publishing. Other featured authors include Robbie Arnott, Pip Williams, Alison Stuart, Roanna Gonsalves, Tasma Walton and Matthew Reilly.
Attendees can also access pitching sessions, a book club and a festival dinner.
