Australian Romance Readers Awards 2012 winners announced

For the fourth year running, historical romance author Anna Campbell has been named Favourite Australian Romance Author at the Australian Romance Readers Awards, which were announced in Brisbane on 2 March.

Campbell also won the Favourite Historical Romance award for Seven Nights in a Rogue’s Bed (HarperCollins), as well as three members’ choice awards for Favourite Meeting Between a Hero and Heroine, Favourite Love Scene, and Favourite Cover.

The winners in the other categories were:

  • Favourite Continuing Series: ‘Psy-Changelings’ (Nalini Singh, Victor Gollancz)
  • Favourite Sci-Fi, Fantasy or Futuristic Romance: Alliance Forged (Kylie Griffin, Berkley)
  • Favourite Paranormal Romance: Dead, Actually (Kaz Delaney, A&U)
  • Favourite Erotic Romance: Bared to You (Sylvia Day, Penguin)
  • The Favourite Short Category Romance: Cracking the Dating Code (Kelly Hunter, Harlequin)
  • Favourite Contemporary Romance: Jilted (Rachael Johns, Harlequin)
  • Favourite Romantic Suspense: Dead Heat (Bronwyn Parry, Hachette).

 

The 2012 awards, which were chosen by members of the Australian Romance Readers Association (ARRA), were presented at the 2013 Australian Romance Readers Convention.
