Pan to publish ‘Terry’s Dumb Dot Story’

On 27 February, Pan Macmillan Australia will publish Terry’s Dumb Dot Story, a new ‘Treehouse’ short story by Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton.

It will retail for $2.00 (inc GST) in Australia and New Zealand, and the full RRP amount for every copy invoiced (ex GST) will be donated to the following Australian children’s charities: the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (of which Andy is a Lifetime Ambassador), Dymocks Children’s Charities, Australian Literacy & Numeracy Foundation, Save the Children, as well as Oxfam and the KidsCan Charitable Trust in New Zealand.

We are delighted to acknowledge that this has been made possible by the donation of content, time and services from Andy and Terry, ADS and McPherson’s Printing Group.

We would also like to thank the retailers who have joined all of us to support children’s charities with a focus on literacy. We are expecting the total amount raised to exceed $120,000.

Terry’s Dumb Dot Story is a 64-page mini-Treehouse adventure in which illustrator Terry takes over the storytelling duties with (predictably!) disastrous results until Andy steps in to save the day … and only makes things worse,’ says Griffiths. ‘Priced at only $2 it not only represents unbeatable value for fans of the Treehouse series but, as a bonus, all proceeds will go to children’s charities (so maybe letting Terry tell the story won’t turn out to have been such a bad idea after all!).’
