MidnightSun acquires debut author in two-book deal

MidnightSun Publishing has acquired world rights to debut author S J Morgan’s novels Heaven Sent and Boomerang in a two-book deal.

Contemporary YA novel Heaven Sent, released in October 2018, follows Evie as her life is turned upside down when handsome Gabe crashes through her bedroom wall, claiming to be her saviour.

A gritty, psychological thriller for adults, Boomerang follows Alec and Sindy as they escape a biker gang and Thatcher’s Britain to the harsh outback on the other side of the world. Boomerang is due for release in September 2019.

MidnightSun publishing director Anna Solding anticipates that the novels will garner interest in the international market due to their gripping plots and universal themes.

‘Sue is from the UK, where much of Boomerang is set, which gives it a very authentic feel. Her own experiences with scoliosis colour Heaven Sent and give readers of the book insights into an important medical theme that is rarely mentioned,’ says Solding.

Solding plans to take both books to the London and Frankfurt Book Fairs.
